Around the B&B
On the farm there are various gardens, pools, pathways and terraces, where guests can enjoy the peaceful countryside. Depending on the season breakfast is served with fresh fruits and vegetables from our own garden. Also you can find region specific-shrubs, trees and even wandering chickens.
One of the old barns has a function as recreation room where you can find various games for all ages. In the former haystack you can sit and relax by a crackling fire, while enjoying small appetizers and drinks.
Cities in the Green Heart
The farm is located in the middle of the Green Heart. A unique place where nature goes hand in hand with the liveliness of the different cities. There are several villages and historic towns on walking and cycling distance. A visit to the old town hall of Gouda or the famous 'Heksenwaag' in Oudewater are highly recommended.
B&B De Ruige Weide is also an excellent base for visits to larger cities like Amsterdam, Leiden, The Hague , Delft, Rotterdam and Utrecht. Its central location in the country makes it a favorable base for trips to various museums, zoos and great attraction parks for children. The 'Keukenhof' is only 35 km away and an absolute 'must' in springtime.
